Cara sees patients at both Sanquhar and Kelloholm surgery. Zoe is responsible for treatment room and chronic disease management services which include: Wound care, Ear Syringing, Hypertension reviews, Phlebotomy, Venesection, B12 injections, Flu/Pneumonia injections, Urinalysis, Home blood pressure monitoring, Weight management, Smoking cessation, Well woman and well man checks, ECG, HGV/Medical Screening, Cervical Cytology, Asthma / COPD.
Denise Dalgleish
Denise, our Health Care Assistant (HCA), carries out blood test clinics on Wednesday and Friday mornings at Sanquhar. Monday and Thursday blood test clinic’s are at Kelloholm Clinic. Denise’s appointments also include Ear Syringing, Hypertension reviews, B12 injections, Venesection, Flu/Pneumonia injections, Urinalysis, Home blood pressure monitoring, Wound care, Weight management, Smoking cessation, ECG, Asthma inhaler assistance, HGV and Medical screening.
Clinics for all nurses are by appointment only.
Health Visitor
The Public Health visitor offer health advice and support mainly to families with young children. This includes help with parenting and behaviour management and also support to women with Post Natal Depression. Children are seen for development checks. Home visits are arranged as necessary. They can be phoned on (01659) 50221. Immunisations are carried out at the Health Centre on Tuesday mornings by appointment.
Community Nursing Team
The Community Nursing team work for Dumfries and Galloway health board. The team carry out nursing care for the patient within their own home. They can be contacted on (01659) 50199.
Midwives
The Red Team midwives are based in the Health Centre and can be contacted on (01659) 50221.
