Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) are proficient and skilled in advanced clinical practice within our multidisciplinary team. These autonomous clinicians are experienced in assessment, investigation, diagnosis and treatment of patient presentations.

Claire sees patients at both Sanquhar and Kelloholm surgeries. She carries out clinics for Wound care, Ear Syringing, Venesection, Hypertension reviews, B12 injections, Urinalysis, Home Blood pressure monitoring, Weight management, ECG, Cervical cytology,  and Phlebotomy.

Alison O’Neill

Alison sees patients at both Sanquhar and Kelloholm surgeries. Alison is responsible for Chronic Disease Management: Asthma, COPD, Chronic Heart Disease and Diabetes. She also carries out clinics for Wound care, Ear Syringing, Venesection, Hypertension reviews, B12 injections, Urinalysis, Home Blood pressure monitoring, Weight management, ECG, Cervical cytology,  and Phlebotomy.

Healthcare Assistant

Denise Dalgleish

Denise, our Health Care Assistant (HCA), carries out blood test clinics at both Sanquhar and Kelloholm surgeries.  Denise’s appointments also include Ear Syringing, Hypertension reviews, B12 injections, Venesection, Urinalysis, Home blood pressure monitoring, Wound care,  Weight management and ECG.

Monday all day and Thursday afternoon

Health Visitor

The Health visitor offer health advice and support mainly to families with young children. This includes help with parenting and behaviour management and also support to women with Post Natal Depression. Children are seen for development checks. Home visits are arranged as necessary. They can be phoned on (01659) 493522. Immunisations are carried out on Tuesday afternoons alternating between Sanquhar Health Centre and Kelloholm Clinic.

Community Nursing Team

The Community Nursing team work for Dumfries and Galloway Health Board. The team carry out nursing care for the patient within their own home. They can be contacted on (01659) 50199.
